Welcome to my new tech zone!
Hello there, my name is James and I'd like to personally welcome you to my new tech zone. This is the place where I'll be discussing everything I know about computers, gadgets and everything nerdy.
On my homepage, I'm going to start off by talking about mobile apps. This is something I'm very passion about and feel that it is the future - smartphones are becoming more and more popular these days, to the point where iOS and Android are taking over the world (literally!). These apps can do pretty much anything and save so much time and effort. You could even use image editing apps such as gimp.
Some people may say, what's the point of smartphones anyway? Well I think that these days we're becoming more and more internet-driven, whether we like it or not. We need to check our e-mails on the go, we need to contact our friends through Facebook and Twitter all of the time. Businesses are moving things they did offline 10 years ago - such as correspondance and talking to customers - to the online world. It's getting to the point where the internet is pretty much essential for everyone, no matter what your walk of life is. The internet certainly is here to stay.
Mobile apps help us to achieve things really quickly. Sure, we could go onto the Facebook site, login and try to navigate through it using Mobile Safari, but it isn't quite a pleasant enough experience for most. Apps simplify things and say "How can I help users achieve things in the shortest time?". These things are everywhere! You can get them from app stores such as the iOS App Store and the Google Play store, but you can also download them from smaller sites such as softwareDownload24/7. You have a lot of freedom when it comes to this and people seem to appreciate the variety of choices they have.
In conclusion, mobile apps is something that we should all embrace. There are nearly 1 million unique iOS apps in their App Store alone, a number which is growing daily as more and more iPhones are purchased. It's great for those who love technology but you do have to wonder how the older generation will be able to cope with these changes. Something definitely needs to be done to ensure that this fundamental change in society can be done by everyone, not just the young.
